Postdoctoral Fellow/Research Fellow - Igneous and Economic Petrology

Salary Package: $61,179 - $81,135 pa plus 17% super

Applications are invited from suitably qualified women and men for appointment as Postdoctoral Fellow (Level A) or Research Fellow (Level B) in the Earth Materials and Processes Area at the Research School of Earth Sciences (RSES), Australian National University. The successful applicant will work with Richard Arculus and John Mavrogenes on a variety of current challenges in igneous petrology including, PGE partitioning, layered mafic intrusion formation and evolution of arc-backarc systems through time.

Applicants will be expected to have established a strong research record in any aspect of petrology, and an ability and willingness to contribute to existing funded research programs. The successful applicant will be expected to apply for additional funding.

Applicants should provide details of their curriculum vitae, research and teaching experience and publications, their specific research interests, and the way in which they might contribute to the overall research program. Applicants are also asked to address the selection criteria for the level they are applying for.   While a variety of petrologic experience will be considered, we require field and analytical interest and ability.
