The semi-automated 2-axis ScT cryogenic
magnetometer (resolution 2 x 10-3 mA/m).

Earth Environment opperates the Paleomagnetic laboratory at Black Mountain. The paleomagnetic laboratory is equipped with cryogenic and spinner magnetometers, demagnetisation furnaces, alternating field demagnetiser, magnetic susceptibility apparatus, pulse magnetiser and a full range of sample collection and preparation equipment. All magnetometers are connected to a central computer database, which facilitates on-line storage, visualisation and analysis of data.
