GLACIAL ISOSTATIC ADJUSTMENT
Georg Kaufmann & Paul Johnston
The intention of this homepage is to provide benchmark comparisons for researchers
working on computational problems of glacial isostatic adjustment and related phenomena.
In the following sections we outline some simple problems, which should be numerically
solved by interested research groups, and which will provide a basis for benchmark
comparisons. We encourage everyone working on problems of glacial isostatic adjustment
to generate results and submit them to the authors. We will accept contributions as
ASCII files in the format outlined in the problem subsections. The deadline for submitting
results is
31. July 1997.
Even if you can contribute only to one of the problems, your participation is welcome.
Please give a short (less than one page) description of the method, which you use to
generate Love numbers.
Suggestions for further problems or modifications are welcome in the next weeks.
