The The Canberra Superconducting Gravity Meter is housed in the Commonwealth Solar Observatory Building
at Mt Stromlo in the outskirts of Canberra

SG CT031 was installed at Mt Stromlo in January 1997
and has operated with minor outages since then.

The CSO building was destroyed when a bushfire struck Canberra
in 2003 burning much of the observatory and surrounding suburbs.

The SG survived intact behind fire doors in the basement but
lost two months of record while services were restored.
