Antarctic GPS Project - Diagnostic Data

System Description

The electronic equipment operating at the remote installations comprises an Ashtech CGRS GPS receiver, a Power CONtroller (PCON), Data Storage and Communcations Controller (DSCC) and a Satcom-B satellite phone (BVLK and LDBF) or Iridium modem (DALT, RICH and KOMS). Every 20 minutes the PCON records system information of battery voltages, solar panel power, internal and external temperatures and absolute atmospheric pressure. Once each day this information is transferred to the DSCC via a serial line. The data are returned to Canberra via satellite phone on a daily basis.

This web page allows plots to be made of the diagnostic data collected at Davis, Beaver Lake and Landing Bluff in 2000 and Landing Bluff in 2001. Data from other sites will be made available when it is recovered from the other sites.
