Roads
Access by Road from Lae and Bulolo is possible with 4WD. Road condition OK in 2003, however deteriorates after heavy rain, or lack of maintenance. Road is sealed from lae to Bulolo and mostly in good condition after resealing in 1999, 2002 and 2003

From Lae roundabout at Shell to Aseki, 195km (5 hrs - 7hrs depending upon conditions).
From Bulolo to Aseki, 90km (3-5 hrs depending on conditions)

Aseki has power during the weekdays ~8 to ~5, provided by Coffee mill, Guesthouse uses this power.

Lutheran Guesthouse, run by caretaker, K20 a night. Has power during day, and running tank water, no cooking gas.
