STATION DESCRIPTION

Station marker
Kern type brass centre mark set in concrete filled steel pillar (0.6m diameter, 1.2m above n/s) Station height is the top surface of the centre mark with the protecting cap removed (also level with the pillar top) To remove the cap, remove the locking screw with an allen key (4mm) then use a special tool to remove the cap.

SITE ACCESS

Boats
PMV Boats leave regularly from Kokopo to Rakanda Plantation jetty several km away, or Mission station 4km away. Local Government office is located at Kibil (Molot) at northern end of island Boat PMVs go there irregularly PMV fare is K10, however a charter can be arranged for K140 per trip, or an arrangement can be made with the PMV operator to drop off at Nabual village In bad weather (frequent between June-Sept) crossings may be impossible especially after 10 am

Government vehicle and driver can be arranged about K100 per day
