SITE ACCESS
Air
By air from Port Moresby, Mount Hagen and Lae (Airlines PNG - daily flights)
Site is located next to airport control tower.
Roads
Tabubil is also accessible from Kiunga by road. The 137km road follows the pipeline from Kiunga to Tabubil
and is an all weather, graded, gravel road used primarily by Ok Tedi convoys. Travel time is between 2.5 and 3 hours
depending upon convoys.
DRIVERS MUST GIVE WAY TO THE CONVOYS!
A pilot vehicle warns oncoming traffic of an approaching convoy. The number displayed on top of the pilot vehicle indicates the number of vehicles in the convoy. Pull off the road and wait for all the vehicles to pass. The last vehicle has two green flags to indicate that it is the last vehicle and is safe to enter the road. Other vehicles have red flags, indicating that another vehicle is following.

Airport security provide 24 hr security. Let security
/ air traffic controller know and they will make sure
it is looked after.

A dial-up connection is avialable after hours at K5 for 10 minutes.
