Knowing how and where to access the most appropriate data and compute resources is becoming fundamental to research. This seminar at the Research School of Earth Sciences is designed to give researchers and graduate students information on what data and compute resources they can access (within RSES, the ANU, and elsewhere) and show how they can best make use of them. Come along to find out what resources are available to help you store, process, manage and publish your research data.
12.45 pm - Steve Eggins: Welcome and Introduction
12.55 pm - Lesley Wyborn: Overview of the Seminar
1.00 pm - Paul Davidson: What data and compute resources do I have in house at RSES?
1.20 pm - Elke Dawson: What research data resources and support can I access through the ANU Library’s Open Research office and ANU Data Commons?
1.40 pm - Ben Evans: What can I access/collaborate with at the National Computational Infrastructure at ANU?
2.00 pm - Keith Russell: What data support and compute resources can I access nationally from ANDS, NeCTAR and RDS
2.20 pm - Lesley Wyborn: What data resources are available internationally and what are the new drivers on data?
2.40 pm - Question and Answer Session
