Meet the Superstars of STEM

Jennie is one of 60 women chosen to be trained as role models for the next generation of young women and girls with a passion for STEM.

RSES Research Fellow Dr Jennie Mallela has been named among the Superstars of STEM. The program is an initiative from Science & Technology Australia, that aims to increase the visibility of women in STEM and to challenge society's gender assumptions about science.  During the two-year program, the participants will focus on professional development through a series of workshops. Equipped with advanced communication skills they will be provided with genuine opportunities to use these skills – in the media, on the stage, in schools and in speaking with decision makers.

Watch Jennie talk about her hopes for increasing all types of diversity in science.
