The oceanic large igneous provinces during the supercontinent cycles

The supercontinent cycles controls the global tectonic but the majority of the geological lies on the continents. Here, I present the first compilation of the Oceanic Large Igneous Provinces database (O-LIPdb) that represents the preserved oceanic large igneous province and ocean island basalts occurrences preserved in ophiolites. Using this database, we are able to reconstruct and compare the record of mantle plume activity in both the continental and oceanic realms for the last 2 billion years, spanning three supercontinent cycles.
