RSES's Ross Taylor remembers touching the moon 50 years on

Fifty years ago, the Canberra scientist Prof. Ross Taylor made one of the big discoveries about the nature of the moon. Professor Taylor was chosen by NASA as the best person to analyse the first moon rocks brought back by Apollo 11. The launchpad for Taylor's success was the environment of excellence at ANU, which included an almost identical lab to NASA. This week, at his hospital bedside, Professor Taylor was presented with an Australian flag flown in space as recognition of his service to NASA.
