Current ResearchTectonics at the global scale - funded by an ARC Discovery Grant "Tectonic mode switches and the nature of orogenesis". This research impacts on fundamental science jsut as well as it has practical implications for resource explorers. Understanding Nature's Fury - in the Earth beneath our feet. The fundamental science underlying subduction zones processes such as the giant megathrusts that cause catastrophic earthquake and tsunami.
