Research Interests
My research focuses on using trace element and stable isotope composition
of biogenic carbonates (e.g. fish otoliths and coral skeletons) to investigate:
- Pulsed/press events (e.g. upwelling, sediment plumes) on the Great
Barrier Reef
- Diadromous fish movements and mixed stock analyses
- Marine population connectivity and migratory ecology of fishes
This work is being pursued in the labs of Professor
Malcolm McCulloch (ANU) and Professor
Mike Kingsford (JCU).
I am also available to co-supervise honours and post-graduate students
in these areas. Please contact me if you are interested.
