DATA EXAMPLES

A large amount of broadband and short period data has been recorded by the TIGGER experiment. Examples of broadband records will be posted here in due course; in the meantime we illustrate three examples of high quality events that have been recorded by the TIGGER short period array. The map below shows a close-up of the short period array and the site names associated with each station.

Example 1: This example shows arrivals from a magnitude 5.6 event in the Banda Sea region (6.47 S, 129 96 E) which occurred at 22.14 on the 19/3/2002. From top to bottom, the time series correspond to the recordings along line 1 (the northern-most line of stations) from east to west.

Example 2: This example shows arrivals from a magnitude 7.3 event in Taiwan (24.48 N, 122.20 E) which occurred at 6.53 on the 31/3/2002. From top to bottom, the time series correspond to the recordings along line 2 from east to west.

Example 3: This example shows arrivals from a magnitude 6.0 event in Fiji (16.41S, 173.24 E) which occurred at 16.00 on the 20/4/2002. From top to bottom, the time series correspond to the recordings along line 3 from east to west.
