For Domestic Post Graduate Students

John Conrad Jaeger Scholarship
Awarded annually to the highest ranked successful APA applicant to RSES. This scholarship provides the APA stipend plus a top-up of $8,002 pa providing a total value of $28,429 pa (2009 value).

 

Merit Scholarships
Awarded annually to up to three APA applicants to RSES. These scholarships provide a stipend equal to the APA stipend plus a top-up of $6,158 pa providing a total value of $26,585pa (2009 value).

Australian Postgraduate Award / ANU Graduate School Scholarships / ANU PhD Scholarship
All RSES students successful in the award of the above scholarships and not in receipt of the Jaeger or merit scholarships will receive a $2,000pa top-this takes the total award to $24,500pa (2010 value).

ANU PhD Mid-Year Entry Scholarships

A small number of ANU PhD Scholarships which provide a stipend of A$24,500pa (2010 rate) funded by Colleges which may be available through mid-year entry.

All students who relocate to Canberra for PhD or MPhil study will be eligible
for reimbursement of associated costs of up to $5,000.

For International Post Graduate Students

A.E. Ringwood Scholarship
In addition to the IPRS the recipient will also be awarded a
top-up of $8,002pa providing a total award of $28,429pa
(2009 value).

International Postgraduate Research Scholarships
The IPRS are awarded by Commonwealth Department of Education, Science and Training (DEST) and provide funding towards tuition fees. All RSES students successful with the above scholarship and not in receipt of the Ringwood scholarship will receive a $2,000pa top-up.

ANU PhD Mid-Year Entry Scholarships
A small number of ANU PhD Scholarships which provide a stipend of A$24,500pa (2010 rate) funded by Colleges which may be available through mid-year entry.
