RSES operates two seismic stations which are linked to the Australian National Network.  The Mt Stromlo station (CAN) just outside Canberra is operated on behalf of the French Geoscope Network (G) and provides high quality broad-band seismic data to the international community in real-time.

The station is also used for benchmarking and long-term testing of a variety of new and existing seismic instruments inside the vault.
